Royal Scottish Automobile Club Car Badge. 1930s

Good quality Royal Scottish Automobile Club motor car badge dating from the 1930s.

This attractive badge is made from chrome plated brass, is decorated with a thistle design and supported by the god Mercury. On top of the badge is the King's crown and the centre bears the enamelled badge of St. Andrew. The back is stamped with the maker's name, "Alexander Scott, Glasgow" and with the issue number, "AA1025". Diameter (not including fixing plate or crown) : 96mm. Good condition (an extra hole drilled into centre of fixing plate).
