Scarce Bugatti Design Prescott Hill Climb Trophy. 1955

Nice quality trophy made in the form of a Bugatti radiator grille, presented by the Bugatti Owner's Club (owner's of Prescott) as a prize for speed hill climb events in 1955.
This beautiful, heavy, trophy is made from solid silver plated brass in the form of a Bugatti radiator grille with a red enamel badge. The base is engraved with the inscription, "Prescott - May September 1955 - Third and First - Class 5 - C. S. Henderson". This particular design of Prescott trophy is quite scarce as it was only produced for a relatively short period. Overall height : 210mm. Weight : approx. 1.85kg. Good condition (wear to plating).
The Prescott Hill Climb near Cheltenham in England is one of the county's finest speed hill climb courses in the country. It is also the headquarters of the Bugatti Owners Club who have owned it since 1938.
