Rare watch fob made as an advertising item for a Mercedes dealership in Argentina. Dating from 1913.

The very attractive watch fob appears to be made from solid nickel and is suspended from a brown leather strap. The front of the fob is decorated with an image of the Mercedes badge, a Mercedes touring car, a Taube monoplane and a speedboat. Surrounding these is the caption, "Mercedes - 1885-1913 - En La Tierra El Agua El Aire" (On the Earth the Water and in the Air). The reverse bears the following inscription, "Mercedes - Lo Mejor De Lo Mejor - Automobiles, Camiones, Omnibus y Lanchas, Motores Para Aviacion, Para Lanchas y Usos Industriales etc. etc. - Robert, Pusterla & Cia. Sucesores De Adolfo Mantels & Cia. - Buenos Aires-Rosario-Mendoza." (Mercedes - The Best of the Best - Automobiles, Trucks, Omnibus and Boats, Motors for Aviation, Industrial Boats and Uses etc etc - Robert, Pusterla & Co..
