Rare Dunlop "50th Anniversary" Chronograph Wrist Watch. 1938 (Case Back & Movement)

Rare chronograph wrist watch made by the Swiss watch manufacturer, "Marvin" especially for the Dunlop Tyre Company for their 50th Anniversary in 1938.

Chrome plated case with a snap-on stainless steel back. Twin elliptical chronograph pushers. Top button starts and stops the chronograph. Bottom button resets. Back of case marked with an oak tree and acorn design with the dates, "1888-1938" and the caption, "Dunlop - 50 Years Of Growth". Case width (not including crown) : 32mm. Case condition : 90%.

Satin silver dial with subsidiary seconds and minute chronograph registers. Signed, "Marvin". Black numerals and outer 60 second chronograph register (divided into 5th of a second). Blue steel hands. Dial condition : 80% (slight ageing)

Nice quality, gilt, manual wind chronograph movement. Unsigned, but positively identified as being a Valjoux calibre. Movement condition (appearance) : 90%. Recently serviced. Good working order. Time keeping : good.
