"Dinky Toys" Diecast H.W.M. Racing Car. c.1954

Miniature diecast model of an H.W.M. racing car made in England around 1954 by Meccano Ltd., as part of their "Dinky Toys" series (No. 235).

This model is still fitted with it's original tyres and is decorated with it's original green and silver paint work, and yellow transfer racing number. Good condition (no damage, slight wear to paint). Length : 99mm.

H.W.M (Hersham & Walton Motors) was founded by the racing drivers George Abercassis and John Heath after the war and became Britain's top racing team in the early 1950's. Their drivers included Stirling Moss, Prince Bira, Louis Chiron, Duncan Hamilton and Tony Rolt.
