Original W.W.II. Royal Air Force Poster. 1945

This attractive poster is entitled "All This Because Of You Being Reported Overdue", it is printed in full colour and shows an amusing cartoon image of a full scale search for a missing aircraft. The poster is also marked, "Restricted (For Official Use Only)" and has a printing date of July 1944. The reverse bears a station intelligence office hand stamp for R.A.F. Station "Castle Camps" and is dated 11th May 1945. Dimensions : 1015mm x 760mm. Nice condition (folded, pin holes and tape marks to edges).
RAF Castle Camps was built in September 1939 and closed in January 1946. Throughout W.W.II. it was an operational base, and at the time the poster was used it was home to 25 Squadron & 307 (Polish) Squadron, both flying De Havilland Mosquitoes carrying out night fighting and bomber escort duties.
