Original W.W.II. RAF Bulova "A11" Pilot's Wrist Watch. c.1942

Original W.W.II. period pilot's wrist watch made by the American watch manufacturer "Bulova" under the designation "Type A11". This particular watch was from a batch that was made for, and issued to pilots of the Royal Air Force in 1942.

Chrome plated case with screw-on stainless steel back. Outside of back stamped with Bulova factory marks identifying the watch as a Type A11, also giving it's "Spec. No.", "Serial No.", "Part No." and "Order No.". Engraved over this information is the British Air Ministry marks : War Department arrow and "6B/234 - A10919" (signifies pilots issue). Case diameter (not including winding crown) : 31.5mm. Case condition : 85% (slight wear and tear).

Black dial with white numerals and minute markers. White hour, minute and sweep seconds hands. Dial condition : 100%.

Nice quality, nickel plated, 16 jewel mechanical lever movement. Signed, "Bulova Watch Co." (Calibre 10AK). Hacking seconds (movement can be temporarily stopped by pulling winding crown to outer position - allows watch to be synchronized). Movement condition : 100%. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.

Fitted with original type olive green canvas strap.
