W.W.II. Royal Air Force Mk.I. navigator's table plotter dated 1941.

Table plotters such as this were made for the RAF and intended for use in the navigator's station within bombers and other large aircraft. The plotter is mounted on adjustable arms which allow full movement over the chart table. The plotter attaches to a rail on the side of the table and can be moved up and down and locked into position by a lever. The perspex (Plexiglas) plotting square can be rotated through 360 degrees and has a scale allowing it to be accurately set. It bears the Air Ministry mark, the reference, "6B/232" and the serial number "24180/41" (dating the piece to 1941). Length of plotting square : 316mm. Good condition.
