Original brochure produced by Rolls Royce (Aero Engines) Ltd. giving details of the famous Merlin & Griffon Engines. Dating from the late 1940's.

This brochure is printed in two colours and contains 8 pages including the front and back covers. It gives details, pictures, specifications and performance figures for these two engines. Dimensions : 254mm x 202mm.

The Rolls Royce Merlin engine was arguably the most famous of all piston aero engines. It was fitted to numerous aircraft including the Hawker Siddley Hurricane and the Supermarine Spitfire. The Griffon was a derated version of the Rolls Royce R-Type Engine which was originally developed for the successful British Schneider Trophy entrants, the Supermarine S6 and S6B. The Griffon was fitted to aircraft including the Spitfire Mk.XII and the Avro Shackelton.
