W.W.II. Period RAF "151" Squadron Badge (Pin)

Gilt brass and enamel Royal Air Force No.151 Squadron badge (pin) dating from W.W.II.
This badge was made by the badge maker's, "H. W. Miller Ltd." of Birmingham, England., and is a miniature representation of RAF "151" Squadron crest. Mounted on a brooch pin, it measures 33mm in height. Nice condition.
RAF 151 Fighter Squadron
Crest bears the image of an Owl in flight, grasping a sabre. Motto translation : "Fidelity Into Duty".
This squadron was formed during W.W.I. (1918) and served in France, flying Sopwith Camels. It was disbanded in 1919 and re-formed in 1936. In W.W.II. it took part in the Battle of Britain. Throughout the war it flew Hawker Hurricanes, Boulton Paul Defiants and DeHavilland Mosquitoes. It was disbanded and reformed twice since W.W.II. Finally in 1963.
