Set of Six 'British European Airways' Uniform Buttons. 1950s

A set of six original British European Airways uniform buttons. Dating from the 1950s.

These buttons are made from anodised aluminium with brass backs and are decorated with a coronet and the airline's initials, "B.E.A." below. Diameter of each button : 23mm. Good condition.

British European Airways (BEA) was a British airline which was formed in 1946. It operated European and North African routes from airports around the United Kingdom and ceased operations in 1974 when it merged with the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) to form British Airways.
