Rare German Zeppelin Exposition Stein & Postcard. 1909

Rare German stein and postcard made as souvenirs of the International Airship Exposition which was held in Frankfurt in 1909.
Small pottery stein decorated with a hand coloured image of the the Zeppelin "LZ6" flying over the Rhine. It is fitted with a metal lid and bears the caption, "Gruß aus Frankfurt aM" (Greetings From Frankfurt). Overall height (with lid closed) : 96mm. Good condition (some chipping around base).
Original unused German postcard showing a balloon and the zeppelin "LZ6" flying over the Frankfurt playhouse and the Bismarck monument. The caption reads as follws, "Gruss von der Internationalen Luffschiffahrt-Ausstellung 1909 - Frankfurt a.M. - Bismarck-Denkmal und Schauspielhaus" (Greetings from the International Airship Exposition 1909 - Frankfurt - Bismarck Monument and Playhouse". Very good condition.
The "I.L.A." Inernationalen Luffschiffarht-Ausstellung (International Airship Exposition) was held in Frankfurt, Germany between July and October 1909. It exhibited various types of balloons and airships including the latest zeppelin "LZ6". During the exposition, she was housed in a temporary tent shed, and she was used to carry influential passengers on trips over the city and along the Rhine.
