Rare German/Austrian Aspern Air Display Lapel Badge. c.1938

Rare, 'tinnie' lapel badge made as a souvenir of an aviation display held in Aspern, Austria during Germany’s occupation. Most likely an event in 1938 which was held by both the German and Austrian Air Forces.
This lapel badge is made from pressed, painted brass and bears the image of the German Third Reich eagle and the caption “Flugtag Aspern” (Flying Day Aspern). The reverse is still fitted with it’s original brooch pin. Width : 27mm. Very good condition (slight wear to paint)
