Scarce W.W.I. 'Aeronautical Inspection Directorate' Lapel Badge

Scarce, W.W.I. period lapel badge made for members of the 'Aeronautical Inspection Directorate'.

This badge is made from brass and is decorated with red and black enamel. The front is bears the organisation's initials, "A.I.D." and "On H. M. Service" (On His Majesty's Service). The reverse is stamped with the serial number, "4236". Length : 32.5mm. Good condition (small area of damage to enamel).
