Genuine W.W.II. Period RAF Pilot's Wrist Watch. 1940

Original W.W.II., Battle of Britain period, Swiss made, Royal Air Force Pilot's, Mk.VIII wrist watch. Dating from 1940.

Satin finish, chrome plated, mid size case with stainless steel snap-on back and bezel. Fixed strap bars. Back of case engraved with following marks : "AM" (Air Ministry), "6B/234" (Air Ministry's assignation for a pilot/navigators Mk.VIII wrist Watch) and with the serial number, "19731/40". The inside of the case back has the original? owner's name "H Relf" scratched into it. Case width (not including crown) : 30mm. Case condition : 95%.

Original white porcelain dial with black numerals and sweep seconds. Blue steel hands. Dial condition : 85% (some fading to numerals).

Nice quality, nickel plated, 16 jewel, unsigned sweep seconds movement. Movement condition (appearance) : 90%. Recently serviced. Time keeping : good.
