On 13th April 1913, the German zeppelin LZ.16 made a forced landing at Lunéville, France. Straight away the French authorities seized the airship and it's records. This supplied the French military with important data and information relating to the airship and it's characteristics. Once repaired, the zeppelin was released the following day.
