Early gilt brass and enamel tie clip decorated with a aeroplane design. Dating from around 1915.

The front of this attractive tie clip bears the image of a biplane against a green enamel background. The reverse is stamped with the brand name, "The Wedge" as well as the patent number and patent date of 1909. Secured by an interesting plunger mechanism. Length : 29mm. Nice condition.
