French Eiffel Tower/Airship Purse Mirror. c.1910

Good quality, silver plated, oval purse mirror depicting an airship and a hydrogen balloon. Made as a souvenir of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France around 1910.
The front cover of this very attractive mirror bears the image in relief of a Lebaudy airship and hydrogen balloon flying past the Eiffel Tower. Below is the caption, "La Tour Eiffel - Paris". The reverse is decorated with a beautiful Art Nouveau design, also in relief. The back is stamped with the artist's initials, "Pq". The cover swivels open to reveal a mirror. Length : 59mm. Good condition (slight ageing to mirror silvering).
