Quality 'Consolidated Liberator' Desk Model. 1940s
SOLD

Nice quality, large, original W.W.II. period chrome plated desk model of a Consolidated B.24 Liberator bomber. Manufactured in England by Harris & Sheldon Ltd. and dating from the 1940s.
This model is professionally made from solid nickel which has been chrome plated and is mounted onto it's base by a curved perspex (plexiglas) stand. The underside of the base bears the maker's name, "Harris & Sheldon Ltd., Birmingham". The aircraft is fitted with it's original perspex discs which give the illusion of the propellers in motion. The model is also still decorated with it's original Royal Air Force insignia (a number of Liberators were supplied to the RAF during W.W.II.). Wingspan : 344mm. Nice condition (slight wear to plating). A very nice model !
