Rare Pair of W.W.I. Royal Flying Corps Shoulder Titles

Rare, genuine matching pair of W.W.I. period Royal Flying Corps shoulder titles.

These are made from dark blue woolen cloth, are embroidered "Royal Flying Corps" and are backed with a sack cloth material. These titles were worn at the top of each sleeve by "other ranks" of the RFC. Length : 120mm. Good condition. These items are hard to find in a matching pair.

The Royal Flying Corps was formed on 13th May 1912 and served through the majority of the First World War. On 1st April 1918, the RFC and the RNAS (Royal Navy Air Service) were separated from the army and the navy and merged to form a new service, the Royal Air Force.
