Rare Original W.W.II. R.A.F. Station Bell. 1941

Rare, original, Royal Air Force station "scramble" bell manufactured in 1941.

This good quality, heavy cast bell was specially manufactured in 1941 for use in a Royal Air Force stations and was the type used to "scramble" fighter pilots. It has a silver finish and is hand engraved with the "King's" crown, the initials, "A.M." (Air Ministry) and the date "1941". Height (not including suspension ring ) : 280mm. Good condition (strike marks to surface, fitted with a modern replacement clapper and suspension ring).
