Rare, original, pendant made in the form of Great Britain's third military airship "H.M. Airship Baby". Dating from around 1909.
This small pendant is made from rolled gold (gold filled) and is a miniature representation of the airship. It is suspended from a bale ring and has the name "Baby" impressed on it's side. Length : 17mm. Nice condition.
The "Baby" was Britain's third military airship, the first and second being "Nulli Secundus" & "Nulli Secundus II". Baby was completed in the early part of 1909 and was powered by two 8 horse-power Berliet engines. In 1910, her envelope was enlarged and she was renamed "Beta".
