W.W.II. period British Royal Air Force "Royal Observer Corps" stopwatch. Dated 1939.

Good quality manual wind stopwatch with nickel case and white enamel dial recording intervals of 1/5th of a second up to 30 minutes. The movement is identified as being made by the quality Swiss watch manufacturers, "Lemania". Stopwatch starts, stops and resets by pressing the winding crown. The back of the case is stamped with the British Air Ministry mark (the king's crown over the initials A.M.). It also bears the assignation, "6E/287" which indicates that it a stopwatch which was made for Observer's. The dial is marked with the serial number, "339" and the date, "39". Very good condition. Working order.
