Original W.W.I. period, porcelain "crested china" souvenir model of a German zeppelin incendiary bomb as dropped on Bury St. Edmunds, England on 30th April 1915.
This model was manufactured by the Staffordshire based pottery, W. H. Goss (regarded as producing the best quality crested china). The front of the bomb is decorated with a printed and hand painted coat of arms of the town Swanage. The base bears the maker's mark and the caption, "Model of German Bomb Dropped on Bury St. Edmunds from a Zeppelin - 30 April 1915". Overall height : 64mm. Porcelain handle missing - otherwise in very good condition.
