Rare "Britannic" Aeroplane Insurance Advertising Plaque. c.1920

Rare, solid oak plaque made as an advertising sign for Britannic's aeroplane insurance. Dating from around 1920.
Nicely made oak plaque in the form of a shield, decorated with an oak propeller and two very attractive, colourful transfers. The top transfer bears the image of "Britannia" (a personification of Great Britain) and the caption, "Britannic - J. Harrison & Sons B'ham Ltd. Birmingham." and the lower, the word, "Aeroplane" inside a propeller shape. Overall length of wooden propeller : 315mm. Good condition (some minor wear and tear).
Britannic's origin dates back to 1866, when the company's predecessor was founded in Birmingham. From 1905 it traded as Britannic Assurance and is still in existence today.
