Scarce R.A.F. Officer's Full Dress Belt Buckle. 1930's

Scarce gilt brass buckle specially made to be worn with the Royal Air Force officer's full dress uniform. Dating from the 1930s.

This attractive two piece buckle bears the image of the King's crown above the RAF eagle. Below this is the force's motto, "Per Ardua Ad Astra" (Through Struggles to the Stars). Overall length : 68mm. Nice condition (slight wear to plating).
