Royal Aeronautical Society, Council Member's Cigarette Case. 1940's

Gold plated cigarette case presented to a council member of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Most likely dating from the 1940's.
Good quality cigarette case with sprung loaded hinge and decorated with an engine turned design. Mounted on to the front of the case is a silver and enamel badge of the R.A.S. with the word "Council" above it. Dimensions : 120mm x 88mm. Takes cigarettes up to 81mm long. Nice condition (slight wear and tarnishing to gilding).
