W.W.II. Period RAF "193" Squadron Badges (Pin)

Gilt brass and enamel Royal Air Force No.193 Squadron badge (pin) dating from W.W.II.

This badge was made by the badge maker's, "H. W. Miller Ltd." of Birmingham, England., and is a miniature representation of RAF "193" Squadron crest. Mounted on a brooch pin, it measures 33mm in height. Nice condition.

RAF 193 Squadron (Fellowship Of The Bellows) 

Crest bears the image of an eagle in flight, grasping a grenade. Motto translation : "To Conquer the Air & The Ground".

This squadron was formed in 1942. Throughout W.W.II. it flew Hawker Hurricanes and Hawker Typhoons. It was disbanded in 1945.
