French Made "Charles Lindbergh" Commemorative Plate. 1927

Nice original French made plate commemorating Charles Lindbergh's famous flight across the the Atlantic.
This plate has a cream coloured background and bears a sepia image of Lindbergh in it's centre. Surrounding this is the following inscription, "Charles. A. Lindbergh - New York-Paris - May 20th-21 Mai 1927". The reverse is printed with the maker's mark of the quality French pottery, "Sarregumines" and the name of the photographers, "Manuel Fr.". Nice overall condition (some minor surface scratching, but only to the glazing, does not go through to the printing). Diameter : 220mm.
Charles Lindbergh was a U.S. airmail pilot who in 1927 was the first person to fly single handed, non-stop from New York to Paris. He flew a monoplane called "The Spirit of St. Louis" which was specially built by Ryan. He departed from Long Island on May 20th and landed at Le Bourget on 21st May, 33 1/2 hours later.
