W.W.II. Period Sterling Silver RAF "Sweetheart" Wings

W.W.II. Period Sterling Silver RAF "Sweetheart" Wings.

Good quality W.W.II. period, sterling silver sweetheart brooch in the form of a pair of RAF pilot's wings. These brooches were known as "sweethearts" as they were purchased by airmen to give to their loved ones.

Nicely modeled wings with blue enamel lettering and a red enamel "King's" crown. The back is stamped with the makers mark which is in the form of an artist's pallet with the initials "T.L.M.". It is also stamped, "sterling".

Length : 58mm. Very good condition.

Comes with a period Jeweler's box.
